West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of 38 Assistant Professor posts in various subjects for Government and Technological Colleges under the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal in the West Bengal General Services, 235 Medical Officer (General Duty) in West Bengal Employees State Insurance Medical Service (Basic Grade) under the Labour Department.Other details are given below

B. Medical Officer (General Duty): 235 Posts

Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 35 years for Asst Professor post, 32 years for ordinary Medical Graduates and 40 years for those possessing Post Graduate Medical qualification for Medical Officer post.

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech for Assistant Professor post, any of the Medical qualifications included in the first or second Schedule or Part – II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal for Medical Officer post.

Selection Process: Screening test/written test and interview.

Application Fee: Rs.210 for general candidates & no application fee for Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities specified under Persons with Disabilities.

How to Apply: Send the application in the prescribed format along with self attested copies of madhyamik or equivalent, SC/ST/OBC certificates, mark sheets and certificates of each examination passes, experience certificate etc, two self-addressed unstamped envelopes and one self-addressed post card and application fee receipt, to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 by speed post or registered post or may also be submitted personally between 11:00 A M and 03:30 P. M on all working days .
